Back in the day, Jungle Beach was the skinny-dipping capitol of Martha's Vineyard, the precursor to Chilmark's Lucy Vincent Beach.  You had to walk in over private property on a worn but overgrown path through the boonies. The beach was worth the effort to get there: youth on parade, flesh from pink to tanned brown, body surfing 'til you shivered, sunning 'til you baked, the salt crackling on your skin, itching and sending you back to the waves.  Hair bleaching as you watched.  Frisbees and barebacked horseriders.  Bliss and love for life!
